The Paris Commercial Court on Friday sentenced Ceetrus, the real estate company of Auchan, to pay more than 47 million euros to the SNCF as part of one of the disputes between the two companies since the SNCF broke two years ago the contract to modernize the Gare du Nord that it had concluded with Ceetrus.
The real estate, which became New Immo Holding, will have to pay the SNCF the "autonomous guarantee on first demand", in the amount of 47 million euros, as well as interest, according to the judgment consulted by AFP. "With this first favorable decision", the SNCF "intends to continue the ongoing proceedings in the administrative court to obtain compensation of 300 million euros from Ceetrus," she said.
