Multiply the purely hexagonal production of an entire sector by three in just four years. This is the government's ambition for heat pumps, revealed by President Emmanuel Macron when he detailed the ambitions of his ecological planning, Monday, September 25. Today, around 350,000 heat pumps are manufactured annually in France. The goal is to reach 1 million units by 2027. It's not a given. "There are not enough new investment projects today," concedes the Ministry of Industry. To achieve this, a vigorous policy of support for the establishment of new factories will be put in place quickly.
To encourage companies to accelerate their investments, a tax credit for the sector was included in the green industry law, voted by Parliament last July. It should generate €2 billion in investment, with €300 to €400 million per year.
