In the summer of 2023, Stéphanie Cau joined Renault as Director of Communications. She held a similar position at Bureau Veritas. Cyril Garcia, who joined Capgemini in 2002, has taken charge of the global substainability offerings this year. As for journalist Elizabeth Tchoungui, she left France Télévisions in 2020 to join Orange as Executive Director of CSR, Diversity and Solidarity.
What do they have in common? Contrary to what their job title might suggest, they each oversee corporate social responsibility (CSR). They have little or no similarity: they come from within or have been recruited externally, and they have followed radically different paths.
This shows that the content of the position is not set in stone, that it can evolve and that each company modulates it according to its own challenges. The survey carried out by the consulting firm Segalen+Associés for Le Figaro reveals the characteristics (current and previous positions, curriculum, seniority in the company, etc.) of the CSR directors of CAC40 companies.
