Just before the votes, a riot in the Finance Committee, Likud MK and the coalition coordinator on the Finance Committee, Eliyahu Revivo, said: "I am against increasing the deficit to 3.7%. If the Treasury does not show us where it is possible to cut without increasing the deficit so significantly, I will vote against it. I'm no one's pawn. I will not vote without receiving a full and thorough breakdown from the Ministry of Finance as to why the deficit is being increased, without trying to cut other budgetary sources. Finance does everything in the dark. I won't give it a hand.
"I turn from here to the representatives of the treasury, you carried out deep plowing, I ask you to explain to me what the tolerance is between that plowing that you carried out and what the treasury presented. What is it all in the dark? Do you expect us to be able to extract the data from some obscure page?"
Revivo added, "You want us to vote against? We will vote against."

Revivo went on to say that "the reservations submitted (by the opposition) in no small part are justified. We asked again and again that we will not reach this moment when we will have to flood as a coalition and ask the more embarrassing questions that will delay the vote. Finance Ministry representatives found sources of cuts in response to the new budget need in accordance with 2023, which I have been screaming about for only a month and a half, the Minister of Finance presented sources yesterday for NIS 6 billion, meaning that another NIS 3 billion falls on increasing the deficit target. Could that not be enough? Or is it more of a meter? Let them show us where the NIS 7 billion is."
MK Yinon Azoulay (Shas) said that Revivo should have spoken with the Finance Minister before closing the issue before holding the law and voting.
Another Likud MK who expressed opposition is Eli Dellal. "I want to see numbers and figures. Yesterday, I asked for a list of what the deficit stems from and what they want to increase it to 4.<>% rather than <>%. We asked the Treasury to bring a list. Since we haven't received such a list, I can't vote."
