In 2030, France will have 19 million people over 65 years old, or 30% of the population. A fast-growing market, the silver economy is brimming with potential and innovation in favour of the elderly covers a wide range of areas, including medico-social services, an area at the heart of EHSIA's activity. With extensive experience in the field, the company has multidisciplinary expertise that is essential for understanding the complexity of the sector, the associated challenges and their changes. Indeed, in France, with the increase in life expectancy and the increase in quality of life, the profile of the 800,000 residents housed in the 10,000 institutions for the elderly is changing. To take these transformations into account, professionals in the medico-social sector, constrained by limited human and financial resources, are looking for easy uses that bring convincing results and systems capable of improving their practices, their working conditions and the quality of support for elderly people in institutions.

Piloting the operational phase of deployment in seniors' residences

The Silver Economy is first and foremost an economy of innovation. It is as much a question of thinking about digital evolution and its consequences as it is of imagining the new needs expressed by the elderly, their families and professionals. In line with this requirement, EHSIA brings together a network of startups in a role of assembler of innovative and relevant solutions and ensures, within an abundant and highly fragmented ecosystem of startups at the heart of the silver economy market, the match between supply and demand.

Pragmatic, in line with the expectations of the sector, EHSIA's approach is based on its perfect knowledge of these four major players in innovation: users, companies, evaluators (who judge the effectiveness of the system) and funders. In doing so, through its ability to develop synergy between these different actors, EHSIA is able to manage the operational phase of the deployment of a project within institutions for the elderly.

Collect usage feedback to improve innovative devices

Structured by the quality of its expertise in project management in medico-social institutions and its long experience with users and professionals, EHSIA pre-selects the systems deemed the most relevant and most in line with the problems identified in the field. By structuring market access for solutions offered by startups, EHSIA intends to be a support force for medico-social institutions and services.

After an exchange with the startup, depending on its business model and value proposition, real-life tests via pilot establishments are offered over a defined period ranging from 4 to 6 months.

This phase, which is not negligible in the development of the system, makes it possible to collect feedback from the establishment's ecosystem: the resident, his family and the professionals. EHSIA undertakes to lead a certain number of committees, with the participation of the teams that will take charge of the project at the operational level.

The data collected in this way is communicated directly to the start-ups and makes it possible to offer a product that is completely adapted to the market and the expectations of the target audience.

Everything that has been tested and deployed will be available on the EHSIA SEO platform and will be accompanied by feedback on usage.

Finally, for healthcare institutions whose businesses are structurally under pressure, this referencing platform allows both significant time savings and the possibility of familiarizing themselves with the use of digital technology.

Working in partnership with funding agencies

Support and the search for funding are offered to field teams who wish to acquire the tested devices. EHSIA works with funding organizations, providing real support in the acquisition of devices, and accompanies institutions wishing to respond to calls for projects at the departmental, regional and national levels.

At the beginning of 2024, the referencing site will be able to offer its customers around forty validated devices. The 2-year ambition is to carry out around fifteen projects per year for 300 establishments that are customers of the platform.
