Japanese, Koreans or Chinese, many tourists wander between the shelves of perfumes, spirits, cigars but also typical Japanese products. Just before, these travelers went through an automatic ticket control gate and then the baggage control area. This Tuesday, December 5, is the first day of opening of this brand-new shopping area of the international terminal at Kansai Airport, Osaka.
The official inauguration took place in the middle of the day. The ribbon was cut by 13 officials, who donned traditional kimonos over their costumes. Among them are two Frenchmen: Benoit Rulleau, co-CEO of Kansai Airports, and Nicolas Notebaert, CEO of Vinci Concessions. The French group is the operator and shareholder of the joint venture that manages this airport, but also two others in the region: Itami, also in Osaka, and the airport in the nearby city of Kobe.
