One former minister succeeds another. Florence Parly, who inherited the Armed Forces portfolio from 2017 to 2022, joins the Board of Directors of Air France-KLM. Submitted for ratification by the next assembly on 5 June, this appointment is part of the perspective of taking on the chairmanship of the group by 2025, at the end of the extension of Anne-Marie Couderc's term of office, which has reached the age limit.
Florence Parly does not want to decide between public and private: "I try to take advantage of the experience acquired in each of the fields to get the best out of them," she believes. The daughter of a high-ranking civil servant and a businessman, she naturally opted for public interest service, training at Sciences Po and ENA. She started at the Budget, and then worked in ministerial offices. From 2000 onwards, she assumed the position of Secretary of State for the Budget.
