2021-02-06T04:58:23.685Z

When on Monday actress Evan Rachel Wood, Manson's ex-partner, accused him of abusing her "horribly" for years, other women also reported having suffered rape and physical and emotional abuse at the hands of the successful musician. Manson denies the allegations.

Marilyn Manson, the rock superstar who has sold tens of millions of records after reaching commercial success in the late 1990s, has been one of the most spoiled artists in the American music industry for decades.

But this Monday his record company decided to

end ties with the 52-year-old musician and not promote his eleventh studio

album,

We Are Chaos,

after one of his ex-partners publicly accused him of sexual and emotional abuse during the time they were together.

In an Instagram post that has put Manson at the center of the latest #MeToo scandal in America, actress and singer Evan Rachel Wood accused the rocker, whose real name is Brian Warner, of having "brainwashed" him and "Manipulated into submission" during their relationship about 15 years ago.

Wood, star of the HBO series Westworld, had often said in recent years that he had suffered abuse in a relationship, but without naming the person.

"The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson," Wooden said his post last Monday.

"He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horribly abused me for years."

No "fear of retaliation"

Wood and Manson's relationship became public in 2007, when he was 38 and she was 19. In 2010 they separated.

The actress, now 33, said Manson "brainwashed" her and "manipulated her into submission."

“No more living in fear of reprisals, slander or blackmail.

I am here to expose this dangerous man and expose the many industries that have allowed him to do so, before he ruins more lives, ”he said.

"I am with the many victims who will no longer be silent," he concluded.

Indeed, during the week at least four other women have made public accusations of sexual and emotional violence against Manson.

One of them alleged that the musician tied her up and raped her, another said that she was locked up when she behaved "badly" and was reprimanded for "hours and hours", and another claimed that the rocker forced her to cut her hands to make a pact of blood.

The musician has described the accusations as "horrible distortions of reality" and has said that

the experiences he has lived with his partners have always been "consensual."

On Thursday, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers also stated that, as a teenager, she visited Manson's home, where he said on Twitter that the musician pointed to a room he called the "rape room."

It is not the first time that Manson has been charged with alleged aggressive conduct.

In 2018, Los Angeles County prosecutors declined to press charges against him for physical and sexual assault charges dating back to 2011, citing a lack of evidence.

How many women have accused the musician so far and what do they allege?

On the same Monday, four other women besides Wood posted similar allegations against Manson on social media:

Ashley Walters, photographer and former Manson employee

Walters claimed to have worked for the musician full time as a personal assistant.

According to his testimony, Manson "frequently became violent" and threw glass plates and other objects.

He also claimed that he forced her to take drugs with him and demanded that they make a "blood pact", for which "he broke a glass of wine" and cut both their hands with the broken glass.

“My intimate relationships have always been totally consensual with like-minded partners.

The accusations have already had consequences

Manson was scheduled to appear in one of the next episodes, but the US television network Starz, which produces the series, said in a statement: "Due to the allegations against Marilyn Manson, we have decided to remove his performance from the remaining episode in which he appears, scheduled to air later this season. Starz unequivocally supports all victims and survivors of abuse. "

Additionally, on Tuesday, Wood posted the photo of a letter written by California Senator Susan Rubio to Monty Wilkinson, the Acting Attorney General of the United States, requesting that
