Top 14: several Stade Français players positive for Covid-19

"The compulsory weekly Covid-19 test carried out by professional players at Stade Français Paris has been positive for some of them," said the Parisian club in a statement without disclosing their number or identity. “The latter, asymptomatic, were immediately exposed and placed in quarantine in accordance with government directives and instructions from the ARS. New tests will be carried out on Monday, ”added the capital club.

Even asymptomatic, these cases are very bad news for Stade Français, whose preparation for the Top 14 could be completely questioned, one month before the resumption, on September 4 against Bordeaux-Bègles. By then, the Parisians had two friendlies on their program: against Brive on August 14 in Tulle and in Toulon on August 27.
