Another hard blow for the horse world.
Already impacted by the health crisis that threatens clubs and all equestrian activities, it must now face a virulent epidemic of rhinopneumonia.
This virus strikes some French and foreign horses competing in Europe.
To counter the spread of the latter and thus protect the horses, the French Equestrian Federation signed, this Monday, March 1, a press release announcing the suspension of national and international competitions.
A measure that will extend until March 28 included.

"For now, even if vaccination and booster shots remain strongly recommended in the territory, it is a new burst of solidarity that we must show to counter this scourge, but also firmness with the Spanish authorities to allow the repatriation of our horses for their safety, ”declared Frédéric Bouix, General Delegate of the FFE.
For now, the FFE has sent equipment, but also the deployment of human reinforcement to help riders and horses in France and Spain to get through this epidemic.
