, the new novel by María Dueñas (Puertollano, 57 years old) that goes on sale next April 14.
With an initial circulation of half a million copies, Planeta turns the return of one of its fetish authors into its bet for this first half of the year.

After working for the British secret services, Sira seeks peace in her life but a series of events will put her back on the tragic side of history.

not always in Dueñas' mind as a great character.
At first, around the time she was outlining her first novel, it was others who were catching the spotlight, but Sira grew to take the lead.
“When I read the writers say that the characters get out of hand, I thought: what bullshit.
But yes, they leave, they ask you for a film and you give it to them with pleasure ”, assured Dueñas in an interview in EL PAÍS in 2011. Turning into the absolute protagonist of one of the best-selling novels in recent years, Sira will mark the agenda in spring in a sector that is still suffering the worst consequences of the pandemic.
