A great many huge players have played in the Premier League over the years, but who was the best signing ever?
One that gave the best value for the money paid for it?
In the English "Sky" they made an intriguing rating and stated: Cristiano Ronaldo overshadows everyone in first place.
Ronaldo was acquired by Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon for just € 13 million in 2003.
In his six seasons in the Red Devils uniform, he has managed to win eight titles, including three championships and one Champions League win.
Tom White, a Sky reporter, joked when he said of the selection: "When he signed for United I thought it was a bad signing. So from now on, don't listen to me."

So who was Ronaldo ahead of?
The second choice is Thierry Henry, although many thought he should be ranked first.
Arsenal were the ones to acquire the French phenomenon from Juventus for € 12 million in the summer of 1999. During eight seasons at Highbury, Henry became a true legend at the club, leading him to win two championships and break the record for conquests.
Manchester United also boasts third place in the rankings, where the legendary Eric Cantona is located.
Only in second place.
