Beware of Real Madrid

Perceptions are only a psychological impulse, but they create incontrovertible and even magical illusions.

One of them, already universal, is that Real Madrid always lives in the golden age.

Such is the force of his legend that he seems rich even when he is poor;

winner even when he loses;

large, even if it has half staff in the infirmary.

There are games that seem deflated and fall into disinterest, not because they are boring but because we know the end: Madrid will win.

Someday he will win without showing up, over the phone.
