(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, JAN 21 - Anyone arriving by plane in the United States will have to undergo anti-Covid tests before leaving and then undergo quarantine.

It is one of the anti-pandemic measures announced by Joe Biden who has signed ten executive orders to fight the pandemic tonight in the oval office.

Strengthening tests, tracking and vaccinations, reopening schools safely, using an old law of war to increase the production of masks and other protective and pharmaceutical material are among the objectives of the new measures.

Explaining the news at the White House, Biden noted that "so far the action against the pandemic has been a sad failure" and that "there will still be a hard winter, the situation will get worse before it gets better". The deaths from Covid in the US will probably reach 500,000 next month, added the new president Joe Biden, recalling that so far over 400,000 victims have been registered in the United States, "more than the American deaths in World War II". Hainfine recommended the use of the mask: "If we keep it until April we will save over 50,000 people," he said. (HANDLE).
