Within a year of the first case detected in the country and with news in the vaccination campaign, the Ministry of Health confirmed 6,653 new infections and another 116 deaths from coronavirus in Argentina in the last 24 hours.
With the update on Tuesday, the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic amounts to 2,118,676, of which 149,548 are active patients and 1,916,936 have already managed to recover from Covid-19.
The 116 deaths reported by the Ministry of Health leads to 52,192 deaths from the disease.
The provinces with the highest number of cases registered in the last 24 hours and the accumulated in each jurisdiction are: Province of Buenos Aires (2,926 - 884,737), Córdoba (778 - 161-049), City of Buenos Aires (652 - 232,976) and Santa Fe (409 - 217,188).
There are 3,527 patients admitted to intensive care.
The occupancy of intensive care units is 60% in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) and 54.1% nationwide.
This Tuesday's report was released a few hours after the first year of Covid detected in the country.

Covax is the multinational conglomerate that distributes vaccines around the world.
The doses that will reach the country are from the product made by the Serum Institute of India, with technology developed by AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford.
From that source, 580 thousand doses had already arrived in mid-February.
Argentina also has 1,737,000 million of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, which arrived on six Aerolineas flights.
It is added to the million doses of the Chinese development Sinopharm, which in the Province of Buenos Aires will be applied to children under 60 years of age with pre-existing diseases.
