This Saturday, in Brazil, former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva broadcast on social networks the moment he received the first dose of the CoronaVac vaccine.

The former president had been diagnosed with covid-19 at the end of January.

Last week, the Federal Supreme Court of Brazil annulled all their convictions in the framework of the Lava Jato operation and ordered the cases to be reinitiated in the Federal Court of Brasilia.

In addition, Lula told the current president, Jair Bolsonaro, to stop "being ignorant" and that his government should guarantee the vaccine to all citizens.

In neighboring Venezuela, the questioned president Nicolás Maduro affirmed that the country registered an increase in the number of cases and deaths from covid-19 due to the Brazilian variant.

Some experts attribute the rally in recent weeks to easing and carnival holidays.

Maduro announced that the week of March 15-21 will be one of "limited and partial relaxation" with a "health fence" in Caracas, La Guaira, Miranda and Bolívar.

Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez said that the covid-19 variant identified in Brazil has been found in five states of Venezuela.
