The résumé should fit perfectly, because it is now the most important part of the application documents.
A head of HR at Google reveals what is particularly important to HR professionals.
For years, Google has been one of the most popular employers in the world.
The search engine company is expected to receive around 3 million applications every year.
But contrary to what many would suspect, the résumé * is actually still
read by HR managers
- and not scanned for keywords by a bot.
Recruiters at Google check every single résumé
"At Google, we still rely on people when we hire - that's the most important thing we do," said Kyle Ewing, head of human resources at Google, Fast Company.
“We train people
to check resumes for skills and competencies
.” That is why it is so important for applicants that the application documents reflect all of their talents and achievements.
This is always important to us, regardless of whether you are applying to Google or another company.

CV: There are four points that are particularly important to HR professionals
According to the HR expert, applicants should
pay
particular attention to
four points on their résumé
and invest time in them accordingly:
Your experiences:
Applicants should use the résumé, not just to list job experiences or school-leaving qualifications.
Anyone who lists personal projects that are close to their hearts, the job as a tutor or volunteer work, draws a holistic picture of the applicant.
Your successes:
Name your successes in the curriculum vitae (CV) and substantiate them with numbers.
But without bragging about it, something like: "I increased the sales of 15 small business customers by 10 percent compared to the previous quarter by introducing new software functions."
Highlight keywords & use bulletpoints: Scan
the job description for relevant keywords.
Which of your knowledge and skills match this?
Applicants should definitely state these in their CV.
If you also use bullet points to structure your résumé, it makes it easier for HR staff to read it through to the end.
Why you fit into the company:
Anyone who now makes it clear why they can enrich the team with their skills and life experience has a good chance of an interview.
