Public debt, a subject too serious to abandon it to politicians?
The executive seems so anxious to nourish its action with the science of experts that it has increased the number of reports for a year.
First, there is the Arthuis commission responsible for working on the medium-term trajectory of public finances.
This cenacle made up of ten members is chaired by the centrist former Minister of the Economy and Finance, Jean Arthuis.
It was officially installed in early December by the Prime Minister, Jean Castex.

The cast is serious, between international economists (such as the Italo-Swiss Beatrice Weder di Mauro, former member of the German council of economic experts), private sector manager and senior officials (such as ADP boss Augustin de Romanet or the former president of the first chamber of the Court of Auditors Raoul Briet), and political figures such as François Hollande's former health minister, Marisol Touraine.
