Bnei Sakhnin players will undergo additional corona tests tomorrow (Wednesday) after the wave of infection that began in the team last week.
Currently, there are six players who have been infected and will not be able to play against Maccabi Haifa this coming Saturday: Biram Kiel, Ali Othman, Ihab Ghanaim, Osama Khalaila, Muhammad Khalaila and Nigel Hasselbaink.
Kiel and Othman are supposed to be defined as recovering, but they still cannot play.
In addition, the contact Ataa Jaber is also removed and is not available to coach Nisso Avitan.
On Monday the team returned to training, but if in the next tests there will be more contagions, the club will ask for a postponement of the game, although only the Ministry of Health can decide on that.
The league administration clarified that as long as there is no explicit instruction from the Ministry of Health, all games until the end of the season will be played as usual.
"It would have been better if they had considered us, despite the difficulty," they said in Sakhnin. "We saw that there is no sporting value to such a game when we lost 7: 0 to Maccabi Netanya, what will that give?"
On the other hand, the administration clarified that Sakhnin has another complementary game against Beitar Jerusalem that they must complete.
"Where exactly will we put the whole board? The teams must internalize that this is not a regular season," they clarified.
