The second round of the Doha tournament in Qatar was held today (Wednesday) with, of course, the comeback of Roger Federer, who will play against Dan Evans.
Dominic Tim, ranked fourth in the world, managed to come back from a lag to 7: 6 (5), 3: 6, 2: 6 against Aslan Kratzb (45), who was the big sensation at the Australian Championships and this time stopped much earlier.
Andrei Rublev, who arrived in excellent shape after winning the Rotterdam tournament, did not play at all as Richard Gasca retired before the game between them.
Dennis Shapovalov (11) also advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Vashek Pospicil (67) 5: 7, 4: 6.
Roberto Bautista Agot, ranked 13th in the world, did his thing with 4: 6, 3: 6 against Alexander Bublik (44).
