Tishreen club won five different medals in the first phase of the first karate tournament for youth that was held by the Game Union in Al-Assad Sports City in Lattakia, with the participation of 200 players representing 40 clubs from different governorates.

The club's players were crowned Raghad Onaizah with a gold medal of under 54 kg in the under 16 category, Majd Salkan with gold weight over 76 kg in the category under 18 years, Ghadeer Dal with gold weight under 61 kg in the same category, Maya Baghdad with bronze, weighing over 54 kg in the category of under 18 years, and Ali Fayyad, weighing 60 kg Under 21 years old.

Tishreen coach Yasser Baghdad said in a statement to the SANA sports correspondent that these results are a good start for the club's players in the tournament and are a great incentive to continue training to gain more points in the next stages of the tournament, explaining that the points collection system is a successful experience because it is in line with international standards and is a good way to develop the level. The President of the Game Federation, Jihad Mahmoud Mia, considered that the first phase of the tournament will be followed by two phases, a second in Damascus and a third in Aleppo, in accordance with the international system with all the details and the purpose of establishing it in three governorates to involve the largest possible number of cadres in the organization, management and supervision in order to improve the game by collecting players for the most number of points. And in line with international standards and in line with the Union's strategy to reach globalization in the future.

The head of the competitions committee, Ali Issa, indicated that each player was awarded classification points according to the number of winning matches and the position he achieved and according to the number of points he collects in the three stages. Each player whose points qualify him will be invited to participate in the Premier League and the Republic Championship for the Elite, indicating that the first place is given 100 points. The second is 70 points, and the third is 40 points, plus 5 points for every match the player wins.
