For four seasons, Hapoel Holon has been commissioned to reach this moment, and tomorrow (Wednesday, 21:30) it will take place: the last Israeli representative in the Champions League will appear for the first time in the top 16, when she will be hosted in the first round at Brindisi.

Brindisi, like Holon, suffers from its own problems.

On the floor, Holon will meet a familiar face and play against former player James Bell (9.3 points per game in the first round), who wore purple in the 2016/17 season and later played for David Blatt in Drushpak.
The one who will be sorely missed by the Italian coach Francesco Vitucci is Brindisi's big star, Diangelo Harrison (19.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists so far), who starred last year in Maccabi Rishon Lezion and will not be able to play due to injury.
Similar to the first stage of the houses, in the top 16 the participants were divided into houses of four groups, with at the end of six rounds the first two in the table will advance to the final eight.
Holon and Brindisi were placed in the 9th house along with the two Turks Topash Bursa and Pinar Karsiyaka.
"We play in a tough house, where all our rivals are at the top of their leagues, and opening in Brindisi is a difficult start," said Holon coach Stefanos Dadas.
"Our problem in the top position is clear, but we believe in our team and system, and as always we will fight to come back with a good result.
