American Christian Harrison surprised by beating Chilean top seed Christian Garin at the Delray Beach Tennis Championships in the USA.

Sky Sports reported that Harrison, 26, who is ranked 789 in the world, defeated Garen in two straight sets, 7-6, 6-2, to qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament.

By beating the world number 22, Harrison became the second-lowest ranked player to reach the quarter-finals in the history of the tournament, after Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro in 2016 when he qualified for this role while he was ranked 1042 in the world.
