I scream at my kids, but actually I want to scream at Bibi and Rabbi Kanievsky

While you and I are imprisoned in our homes out of desperate reconciliation with a horrible reality, in some ultra-Orthodox enclaves within us no one, certainly not us, is counting, as they celebrate weddings and send their children to school.

Because that's how it is with Bibi: he wants to help us, but he has no interest.

So is it any wonder I screamed this week?

This week I lost my temper again.

The number of times I screamed at my kids again increased exponentially until I decided to take a day off from the ongoing and useless attempt to do my job as if I did not have three kids at home and be a mom as if I was not supposed to work in the meantime either.

I took a day off from work, because in parenting there is not really such an option (although if there was, I know what I would choose).

I did it because I felt like my kids really needed one day when their mom would be around and not scream at them.

And there really was a spin, at least at first.

We did a puddle trip near the house and saw a movie on TV with popcorn but in the evening I was already screaming at them again.

Because I do not have air and you probably do not have any more.

This is already our third closure and almost all of my immediate environment is suffering from the same symptoms of suffocation and despair.

We will not get out of this.

You can celebrate two million vaccinated by tomorrow, I was also happy with the vaccine at first.

But we also saved 100 million, it will not help.

And another closure will not help.

Here's a fact, even the current closure no longer works.

In an experiment that the Israeli government is doing on us, it is trying to defeat the corona with vaccines for the entire population and exemption from restrictions for some of it.

It is a schizophrenic combination in which one hand of Netanyahu injects us with a handful of vaccines and the other hand shakes hands and closes deals after the election with Yanki Kanievsky.

Some of us will not get to see the wretched fruits of this arrangement.

They will just die of corona by then.

The others will just die from within.

They will turn off slowly, as they have been doing for nine months, and lose hope and interest.

On the day I promised myself not to scream at my kids and did not exist, the closure was extended by another ten days.

It was supposed to end about now.

But add another ten full days that will make us all feel like two months.

Morbidity rates continue to rise and we are scared.

I hear more and more stories of young people who have been seriously ill, about the parents of colleagues and friends who have rapidly deteriorated and died and in the news there is another life-threatening mother and another one and another - ten mothers just this week.

The circles around us are constantly tightening.

Our neighborhood is red, my dad in isolation.

The corona reduces profits in front of us.

We no longer even go out to the neighborhood garden.

We're just sitting at home waiting for it to be over already.

But this week I realized it would not end.

And that's why I screamed.

how can you not?

While you and I are imprisoned in our homes out of desperate reconciliation with a horrible reality and a debilitating fear of a deadly epidemic, dead writers and positive percentages, in some ultra-Orthodox enclaves within us no one counts, certainly not us.

While we go up to zoom meetings working with children who climb on our heads, some of the ultra-Orthodox educational institutions (funded by our tax money) operate as usual and no one comes to close them.

In the worst case, one can pick up the phone to Yankee Kanievsky and gently check if he happens to be willing, perhaps, to allow the Talmud and yeshivas to close.

Only if it suits him of course, and if his honor thinks it is possible.

He said he would think about it, by the way.

I see them in the news celebrating mass weddings, huddled in closed spaces and jumping happily, Gila, Ditza and Rina on tribunes at the weddings of rebbe grandchildren in cities whose morbidity rates are 30 percent. The police will not come even if they call her, but they came yesterday to check that my father did not Violates insulation.

Look at the data - an entire country is in a quarantine because of high morbidity rates, but everyone knows where there are 30% verified and where 4%.

And everyone also knows where the closure is being violated in an organized, overt and bold manner, and where not.

We can not continue to agree to live this average - because we are losing.

Violations are everywhere, but enforcement is not.

There is only one group in Israeli society that does this in an organized way, dictated from above and by the masses and also gets such a blatant disappearance from the authorities and authorities, that it already borders on squinting.

Only recently did I realize that parts of ultra-Orthodox society do not care if the economy collapses, do not care if our children learn to read this year or not, do not care if the morbidity skyrockets.

It is clear that within ultra-Orthodox society there are also those who think differently and behave differently.

In recent days we have heard more and more the important voices of the ultra-Orthodox who are on the front lines in fear and frustration in the face of violators of the guidelines, who call the police to report on neighbors' unresponsive violations, such as Yehuda Meshi Zahav who thinks the ultra-Orthodox are worse than Holocaust deniers. Other restrictions.

But there are also many who think differently and do not behave differently and even more many who do not even think differently.

They think exactly like that and that's how it suits them.

It suits them that we are not (we will not leave the house, we will not have studies) and they are.

In Matuta, if the rabbi agrees.

This week I read several articles that point the finger of blame at the ultra-Orthodox leadership that the price of irresponsibility it dictates is largely paid by its followers and believers. Among the sick and dead there are many ultra-Orthodox and this blood or this dripping spray is largely in the hands of those leaders. The anger is on leaders who have abandoned their own community. But what about those who are not part of the sector and are its victims no less? Where are our leaders? Where is the one who is supposed to protect us?

No one is watching over us. The hand that stores is also the hand that allows the infection to continue. She could have been the hand reserved to stop this madness, but it's less good for her politically. In a paraphrase of one sentence is very remembered from the series "Rehearsals": Bibi wants to help us, but has no interest. It is possible to double and triple the fines, it is possible to enforce in the ultra-Orthodox sector as well, although there are quite a few factors that want us to believe that this is an impossible task. It will be difficult, and there will be resistance, but the police can handle it, Netanyahu will not. And that's why we're in quarantine again, still in quarantine and will be in another one as well. So scream! Scream already!
