No more business cards that pile up on the desk or that you never find!

The start-up WeMet, created in February 2020 just before the first confinement, is betting on contactless with its connected business card.

To exchange contact details, nothing could be simpler: just scan the card with your smartphone to be able to save all the data automatically on your device, in a pre-filled contact card.

Eco-responsible and Covid-compatible technology in this time of health crisis.

The WeCard, made of PVC, looks like a classic business card.

No app needed

“I always forgot my business cards at professional events, which made me think of a solution to have a single card, explains Samuel Dassa, one of the two co-founders of WeMet, who previously worked in the sector. video games.

A survey by an American institute convinced me of the need since out of ten billion cards produced per year, nearly eight billion are thrown away in the first week.

We worked for ten months on this technology, which makes it possible to encode the coordinates of a business card in a chip, such as bank cards.

Today, everyone pays with contactless so I think the habits around the classic business card will change.

And most importantly, there is no app to download to save the content.
