IPhone or Android? This is Bill Gates's preference Israel today

The founder of Microsoft told the New York Times in an interview which smartphone he prefers to use routinely • His reasoning, if you were wondering, does not make the most sense

During a recent interview on Clubhouse, a social network based on voice chat, Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and the third richest man in the world, explained why he still prefers to use a smartphone with the Android operating system over an iPhone.

Gates joined in an interview with Andrew Ross Sorkin, a New York Times reporter on the emerging social network.

This is a multiplayer voice-based chat app, where there are rooms or groups around a particular topic, with one or more speakers, who can also allow others to join the conversation.

It can also be accessed by invitation only and is currently only available to iOS users. 

In a conversation, the founder of Microsoft talked about his use of Android in the past, so Sorkin was curious if his preference might have changed, given the fact that Club House is only available to iPhone users.

In response, Gates explained that he "still prefers Android, but keeps an iPhone nearby" (it also serves him to connect with Clubhouse).

'I'm actually using Android.

"Because I want to keep track of everything, I often play with an iPhone, but the device I take with me is Android," Gates added.

He said pre-installed Microsoft apps, as well as the more open environment of the operating system, are his main reasons for choosing it.

"Some Android device manufacturers pre-install Microsoft applications, which makes it easier for me.

They are also more flexible about how the software connects to the operating system, so I eventually got used to it. '

But Gates' reasoning is a bit strange, as Microsoft apps can be downloaded from Apple's App Store, and even the default browser can be customized to one another.

To do quick damage control, when Bill Gates praised Android during the interview, Clubhouse co-founder Paul Davidson joined the discussion, emphasizing that "bringing Clubhouse to Android is the company's top priority right now."
