Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, delivered a particularly aggressive speech today in which he said that his country would enrich uranium to a level of over 60%.

Khamenei shrugged off Israel and said that if Iran was interested, it could produce a nuclear lie and Israel could not stop it.

Speaking before the Supreme Religious Council of the country and President Rouhani, Khamenei said: "The conditions and policies of European countries and the United States will only make them more hated by the Iranian people. The Islamic Republic will not withdraw its reasonable position and enrich uranium at over 60%."

"International Zionist clowns say they will never allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons. They must be told that if Iran wants to acquire nuclear weapons, there is nothing they or their allies can do to stop it."

Khamenei later noted that Iran is not interested in nuclear weapons for religious reasons.

In contrast to the aggressive approach from Tehran, the US Secretary of State came out today with a conciliatory message and said that his country aims to extend and strengthen the nuclear agreement with Iran.

.

Blinken made the remarks at a special UN conference on nuclear disarmament, arguing that his country would never allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons. Most to achieve this goal, "Blinken said.

"President Joe Biden has stated that if Iran returns to strict compliance with the terms of the agreement signed in 2015, so will we," Blinken added.

The Secretary of State added: "Working together with our allies and regional partners we will work to extend and strengthen the nuclear deal and address other issues of concern such as Iran's undermining impact on the region's stability and its ballistic missile program."

The Prime Minister's Office held a discussion today on Israeli policy in light of the United States' intention to return to the nuclear agreement with Iran.

The director of the Ministry of Defense, Amir Eshel, participated in the discussion.
