La Poste could abandon its red stamp intended for priority letters, which guarantees delivery of the letter the day after it is deposited.
At a time when WhatsApp, Messenger and other messengers allow instant communication, the iconic red stamp is used less and less.

The traditional mail business was particularly affected by the health crisis in 2020, with a 13% drop in turnover and volumes down 18% over one year, i.e. 1.6 billion fewer letters.
The 29% increase in classic parcel volumes (Colissimo) was not enough to cushion this drop.
La Poste is pursuing its modernization ambitions.
The group launched Thursday its 2021-2030 strategic plan, aiming to become "the first European platform for links and exchanges".
While preserving mail delivery, this strategy aims to strengthen the group's position in parcels and develop new services.
Philippe Wahl asks the State to take its responsibilities
Negotiations are underway with the State to redefine this public service mission and clarify the offer.
"What we are asking the State is simple: that it compensate for the constraints of the public service missions that it puts at our charge," claims Philippe Wahl on France Inter.
Last year La Poste had 260 million compensations and public service charges cost it much more than a billion ”.
