The problem: “I was always the only young woman.

That was totally frustrating. ”The now 35-year-old quickly realized that showing young people how to invest money is a niche in the market.

“There are also more men represented on the website,” says the 35-year-old.

“I have three pillars: my book, which is now in its fifth edition, a few collaborations on Instagram, and courses and workshops that I give,” says Margarethe.

With the new year she started a “finance boat camp”.

In these online courses, she explains how to start building wealth and how to lay the foundation right.

“I have participants from Italy, Dubai and, of course, Germany, too, who I coach on a weekly basis and explain to them bit by bit how to save and invest money with a plan and overview.” Margarethe is particularly proud of one thing: only young women attend her course.

  • 1. Check income and expenses: With a budget book or an app I can get an overview of all my expenses and see what I can cut and where I can save additionally.

  • 2. Save strategically: It is best to regularly save a fixed portion of the net salary (eg ten percent).

    Important: Save right at the beginning of the month and not at the end of the month when there is nothing left.

    So you automatically learn to get by with less money.

    And: Don't save on your current account or under your pillow, but on a daily money account.

  • 3. Not only save, but also invest: With ETFs I can invest my money in the entire DAX or world market from 25 euros a month.

    My advantage: I lower my risk because I invest in many different companies and I need less prior knowledge.
