The Washington Wizards and Danny Abdia came back with an all-night loss (Wednesday through Thursday) from the All-Star deficit, after surrendering 127-112 to the Memphis Grizzlies and down to a 21:14 balance with the opening of the second half of the NBA season.
Abdia for his part recorded a good game with 13 points (3/5 of the three), 6 rebounds, 6 assists and one steal in 24 minutes.
The Wizards were already 19 points behind in the second quarter, but managed to come back and even lead.
However, the Grizzlies (16:17) immediately took the lead again and until the end kept a safe distance that arranged for them another victory over the opponent whom they also defeated last week, this time in the US capital.
Jonas Valenzuelas provided a wonderful game in the winning ranks with a formidable double-double of 29 points (12/21 from the field) and 20 rebounds.
The Lithuanian added 3 assists and 4 steals.
Washington suffered from a weak game by its big star this season, Bradley Bill, who scored 21 points on 27 percent from the field (6/22).
Russell Westbrook recorded a mediocre game with 20 points (10/19 from the field), 10 assists and 5 rebounds.
Washington's next game will be on the night between Friday and Saturday (3:00 a.m. Israel time), so host the Philadelphia Sixers.
