The most popular singing event in Italy is starting.

Last year, the prime time of Sanremo had on average over ten million viewers, for an average share of 52.2%, the highest in the last decade.

We'll see if Amadeus and Fiorello have repeated this success.

While waiting to know the Auditel data,

we analyzed the online conversations relating to # Sanremo2021

, the official hashtag of the Festival.

Overall,

the online citations were more than 728 thousand

,

by just under 32 thousand unique authors

, whose contents involved (like + comments + shares) about three million people.

A very high volume of citations that generated an “opportunity to be seen” of 2.42 billion impressions, of exposure to content relating to Sanremo.

Volume that we reasonably estimate at 121.27 million effective impressions, gross of duplications.

The three terms most associated with the conversations relating to Sanremo 2021 were: “song” (6% of the total citations), “Fiorello” (4.9%), and the other host “Amadeus” (3.9%).

If the popularity of the song and of the two presenters was almost obvious, the involvement of the people, however, was concentrated on something else.

The tweet that generated the most engagement is from Fedez who, together with Francesca Michielin, is preparing to go on stage in the backstage

.

On Instagram, on the other hand, it is the rapper Madam who takes the lead in terms of people's involvement

.

His three photos, also in this case as he prepares to go on stage, get about 113,000 "likes" and almost 4,000 comments.

On Facebook, on the other hand,

The Jackal

generates the highest number of interactions.

Three and all of them the posts that on the most populated social network in Italy and in the world generate the greatest involvement.

Their posts, in which they wisely ironic about not participating in this edition of the Sanremo Festival, get tens of thousands of interactions, and the video about it gets about 333,000 views.

The social TV on the first evening of the singing event is female and relatively young.

In fact, women account for 60.8% of the total of those who actively, posting or interacting with content related to # Sanremo2021, also participated in the festival via social media.

Those between the ages of 18 and 24 weigh 40.6% of the total, while those between the ages of 25 and 34 weigh 49.3%.

Therefore those between 18 and 34 years represent 89.9%.

In this regard, there are numerous citations, in particular on Twitter relating to the "boomers" condemned to listen to songs that the youngest consider inappropriate for them.

Finally, as usual, even on social networks the controversy over the ranking drawn up by the opinion poll jury is strong.
