The two indices Standard & Poor's 500 and the combined Nasdaq rose at the open today, following a sharp decline in the market as technology stocks rebounded, but confidence remains fragile with US bond yields rising to their highest level in a year.
Reuters reported that the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.7 points to 31,401.29 points, while Standard & Poor's rose 10.3 points, or 0,27 percent, to 3,839.66 points.
Nasdaq advanced 113.5 points, or 0.86 percent, to 13,332,901.
