More than 95 million cases around the world, more than two million deaths and people around the globe fighting the disease from ICUs: in its second year, the coronavirus pandemic has shown no signs of slowing down.
With almost 400,000 and almost 210,000 deaths, respectively, the United States and Brazil continue to be the countries with the highest number of deaths from covid-19 in the world.
But other Latin American countries are also facing the worst of the pandemic.
Thus begins the week of January 18, 2021 in the ten countries in the region with the highest number of deaths from coronavirus, according to figures from Johns Hopkins University.
