The government bought 32 million masks from a local supplier earlier, but the media later revealed that the supplier was suspected of using non-medical masks from the Mainland as Japanese masks. The customs arrested the incident.
The Logistics Department filed a file with the High Court on Friday (22nd), accusing the supplier and the company proprietor of the fraudulent statement, recovering more than 97.74 million yuan paid by the department, and making related claims.
The plaintiff is the Secretary of Justice, the defendant is Burdi Global Limited, and the proprietor Liu Junming.
The filing alleges that the two defendants were involved in making fraudulent misrepresentations to the Logistics Department, requesting the court to rule that the four contracts signed by the two parties have been cancelled, demanding the company to repay the 97.74 million yuan paid by the Logistics Department, and claiming for fraudulent statements.
