Suppose we got the pandemic under control by the end of the year, which is already an assumption, because it will take a couple more years for poor countries to be vaccinated.
But hey, the imagination is free and we can do that thought experiment.
Where can a SARS-CoV outbreak come from to catch us again with our defenses down?
The best place to look is the one that caused the crisis: the animals.
And now we not only have to investigate bats and other wild animals, but also the domestic ones that live on our farms and in our homes.
