The Syrian Investment Agency has agreed to include a project for manufacturing automatic carpets and carpets in the industrial city of Adra in the Damascus countryside with the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 8 of 2007 so that it benefits from the exemptions, benefits and facilities contained therein.
The Director General of the Authority, Median Diab, confirmed in a statement to the representative of SANA that the annual production capacity of the covered project reaches 13 million square meters annually and provides about 150 job opportunities and the duration of its implementation is three years at an estimated cost of three billion Syrian pounds.
Diab pointed out that the aim of including the aforementioned project is to support the vital textile industries sector and to employ the Syrian competitive advantages in this field to meet local needs, increase export rates and provide more job opportunities.
Earlier this month, the Syrian Investment Authority announced its approval to include a project to extract and manufacture medicinal salt for medical purposes.
