Marilena Bossio was passing through Gobernador Gregores, in Santa Cruz, visiting a friend and looking for work.
Cordobesa, 26, a veterinarian, was at Lake Cardiel this Saturday when a windstorm overturned several kayaks, leaving her and six other people adrift in its icy waters.
Marilena would end up giving her life for that of an 8-year-old boy.
The tragedy left

In addition to the young woman, Daniel Barría (33), president of the local Deliberative Council, died;
his brother Javier Barría (29), who worked as a police firefighter;
and Elsa Raquel Martínez (49).
The incident occurred around 3 pm in the Bahía El Griego area, 80 kilometers from Gobernador Gregores, a town located in the center of Santa Cruz with about 9,000 inhabitants, 424 kilometers from Río Gallegos.

The bodies of the two women were found on the shores of the lake shortly before three in the morning.
Later they found those of the Barría brothers.
The three rescued from the waters of Cardiel were admitted to the local hospital with hypothermia.
This lake is usually used for nautical sports.
It has a length of 25 kilometers, an area of approximately 400 square kilometers, and an average depth of 49 meters.
Neighbors of Gobernador Gregores, Puerto San Julián and Comandante Luis Piedra Buena had convened through social networks to collaborate during the early morning in the search, which was in charge of local and provincial Police and Fire divisions, together with the National Gendarmerie and Naval Prefecture.
Last February 9, the diver and firefighter Barría had participated in the operation that culminated after six days with the discovery of the body of the adolescent Tomás Alegre (17) in the Santa Cruz River, in Comandante Luis Piedra Buena.
