The National Assembly, unanimous, adopted Tuesday in first reading the programming bill of French official development assistance (ODA), expected to increase and refocused on Africa and Haiti.

The deputies supported this consensual text by 502 votes in favor and 41 abstentions, communists and rebels.
Foreign Minister Jean-Yves le Drian hailed “
a very good signal
” and a “
turning point for our development policy
”.
