(ANSA) - MILAN, 12 DEC - The leaders of Vivendi, the French telecommunications giant, are being investigated by the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office.

This is evident from the "notice of closure of investigations" of the judicial authority, as reported today by the Corriere della Sera.

The file, opened in 2016 by the Mediaset group, therefore includes the financier Vincent Bolloré and the CEO Arnaud de Puyfontaine for the alleged "market manipulation" and "obstacle to the exercise of the functions of public supervisory authority" Bollorè, in particular, he is accused by the prosecutors of having deceived the market "speciously contesting the veracity of the data of the agreement of 8 April 2016 between Vivendi and Mediaset for the purchase of Mediaset Premium", and then of having sent communications on three occasions in which he "made believe that Vivendi's contractual breach was due to undisputed financial mines within Mediaset Premium ".

The other accusation against Bollore rests "on three information hidden from the supervisory authority on the stock exchange" on "large purchases of Mediaset shares" and on "meetings" with Telecom Italia and Mediobanca.

Vincent Bollorè allegedly set up a conduct on the Premafin share, preparatory to the good outcome of Groupama's acquisition of a significant holding in the financial.
