The United States on Tuesday March 2 imposed financial sanctions on two "
key militants
" of the Houthi rebels in Yemen accused of "
orchestrating attacks
" against civilians, neighboring countries, and commercial ships.

The sanctions against Mansour al-Saadi, billed as the rebel naval chief of staff, and air force commander Ahmad Ali Ahsan al-Hamzi, come after President Joe Biden canceled the registration of Houthis on the blacklist of terrorist groups decided under his predecessor Donald Trump.
