"Apple gets involved"? The "Financial Times" newspaper published today (Thursday) that approximately 15 women, current and former Apple employees from various departments and countries in the US, claim that the human resources department of the technology giant does not attach importance to complaints about sexual harassment and inappropriate treatment, Including in the administrative ranks, and even systematically ignores them.
A former employee of Apple's legal department claims her manager harassed her after she took time off to visit her dying father, and complained of receiving sexual messages at all hours of the day.
After that employee was fired, she was asked to sign an agreement in which it was made clear that she did not consider Apple responsible for "any apparent mental distress" she was subjected to, and this in exchange for several bonus salaries - which she would not have received had it not been for the signature.

Evidence of these types of agreements surfaced several times, alongside descriptions of a toxic work environment in the company, cases of emotional abuse and even demonstrated hostility on the part of the human resources department towards those who complain about harassment.
A man named Chris Diver, a former employee of Apple's human resources department, told the "Financial Times" that many engineers at the company tried to imitate the behavior of Steve Jobs, the late founder of Apple, who acted predatorily and used to insult and humiliate people in work meetings.
Referring to the shocking publication, Apple provided a response to the "Financial Times", in which it was stated that the company makes sure to investigate all complaints to the human resources department, and encourages its employees to submit them.
However, Apple admitted that "some of the cases that appeared in the article do not reflect our intentions and policies, and we should have handled them differently."
The company also promised to update its employee training and guidance practices.
