Noa Kirel will officially represent Israel in Eurovision 2023.
This morning (Wednesday) a press conference was held at the Carlton Tel Aviv Hotel where Noa Kirel was officially announced as the Israeli representative for Eurovision 2023 which will be held in May in Great Britain.
According to the agreements between here, the Israel Broadcasting Corporation and Kirel, Noa and her professional team will be given artistic freedom in choosing the song, subject to the ebu regulations and the corporation's budget framework.
Tal Freifeld, CEO of Kaan: "This year Israel celebrates 50 years of participation in the Eurovision Song Contest and we decided to change the rules of the game. Instead of choosing a representative in one reality show or another, we simply decided to choose the number one artist to represent Israel. The work of the committee was very easy and the choice was easy , unanimously, won wall-to-wall public support."
Noa Kirel: "As everywhere in the world I've performed, whether it's on IDF uniforms or whether it's on big stages in the world - I've always felt proud to represent the country.
So even today, I am very proud to embark on this mission, which for me is a national mission, together with the entire people of Israel behind me, I am setting out to bring great honor to the country."
Eurovision 2023 will be held in Great Britain and will be broadcast here 11 and digitally.
