"She was adored by all": the shattered life of Miriam, hit by a scooter in the middle of Paris

Originally from Tuscany and living in France for ten years, this 31-year-old young woman died on Wednesday June 16, two days after being violently hit by a scooter in the middle of Paris, on the night of Sunday 13 to Monday. June 14.

That evening, Miriam leaves an Italian restaurant in the 6th arrondissement where she is responsible.

She then left to join a colleague and her boyfriend on the banks of the Seine at the level of the Georges Pompidou pedestrian path, not far from the Pont au Change.

At around 12:40 a.m., while they were walking, an electric scooter with two women on it crashed into Miriam.

The shock was so severe that she suffered a heart attack and a severe head trauma.

In a coma, she died two days later, on June 16.

The two passengers on the scooter fled.

An open investigation

An investigation has been opened on the count of intentional homicide by driver, aggravated by the hit-and-run, indicates the Paris prosecutor's office in

The investigations were entrusted to the service of judicial treatment of accidents (STJA).

The investigators launched a call for witnesses, plastered along the quays of the Seine, in order to find the two fugitives.
