The group of hackers "Black Shadow" published this morning (Friday), a few hours before the expiration of the ultimatum they issued, another warning to the insurance company Shirbit that more information will be published at 09:00 and declared "Shirbit has not paid the money until now".

Yesterday, hackers posted a demand for payment of about $ 1 million (50 bitcoins) within 24 hours, by 9 a.m., so that the information obtained in the hack was not disclosed or sold.

Now there is growing concern that if the company does not make the payment demanded by the hackers, new information is expected to be published and the demand for payment is expected to double.

In a statement issued by the hackers, they added: "It seems that the information leakage of customers, company employees and public employees is not significant for them. So we will do what we said we would do at 09:00."

As you may recall, on the night between Wednesday and Thursday, the hackers issued a ransom demand with an ultimatum: transfer 50 bitcoins within 24 hours so that the information obtained in the hack is not disclosed or sold.

Shortly before the threat was published, hackers released new information they obtained in the hack that included 300 new faxes from the company's insured.

In addition, the hackers threatened that the countdown would begin on Thursday at 09:00 Israel time, and the amount of the payment is expected to double daily.

From 50 bitcoins (about NIS 3.15 million) on the first day, to 100 bitcoins on the second day (about NIS 6.3 million) and to 200 bitcoins (about NIS 12.6 million) on the third day.

Dr. Harel Manshari, head of the cyber field at the Holon Institute of Technology HIT and formerly one of the founders of the GSS 'cyber network, thought yesterday that in the present case there is no point in paying.

He would also recommend to many entities that have good backup of their documents to defend and not pay.

"In the present case, they took the information and have already started publishing it - this is not how a hacker who wants a ransom behaves. A hacker who wants a ransom will encrypt the information and demand money for its release and not make a general appeal ", Explained Dr. Manshuri.

As you may recall, on Tuesday this week, in a joint and unusual announcement published, the Capital Market, Insurance and Savings Authority, and the National Cyber Array announced an information leaked information from the insurance company Shirbit.

The company's website collapsed, and a group called BlackShadow, which claimed responsibility for the attack, released ID cards and licenses, including those of a senior judge.
