"Two-tier companies"

The worst crisis for a century will therefore only have been an air hole for French multinationals.

We pinch ourselves to believe it.

However, the publication of their results at mid-year leaves little doubt.

A year after the confinement which plunged them into an artificial coma and fed many concerns about their ability to recover from it, the French giants of the CAC 40 are all in the green, except two of them.

And some are already making more profits than before the crisis… Their concern at the moment is above all to manage as well as possible the shortages of all kinds which are slowing down their acceleration.

At the end of the day, Bruno Le Maire could legitimately be proud of the renewed health of the French giants.

Between those who resorted to partial unemployment at the worst of the health crisis and the most affected, such as Renault, which received a few billion to avoid failure, the State did its job, rather well and especially quickly.

Most, however, made it on their own.
