Cell phones ring at the scene of the accident but almost no one responds to the anguish of relatives, who are looking for the victims of the subway crash in the hospitals of Mexico City.

The hospitals of Mexico City woke up this Tuesday full of people

desperately looking for their missing loved ones

, after a sector of the elevated track on which the subway line 12 circulates collapsed on Monday night between the Olivos station and Tezonco, leaving at least 23 people dead and 79 injured.

"We have no news of my sister.

They do not have her on the list

, her name does not appear. We call her on her cell phone and nothing. So some of us are looking for her in a hospital and others are looking for her in other health centers. God willing We will find it, we do not lose faith that we will find it, "Jesús Segura Osorio told The Associated Press news agency.

"If anyone has seen her or knows something, please help us," Segura said, while showing a photo of her 43-year-old sister, a mother of two.

Minutes after the train crash, hundreds of family and friends arrived in the Olivos station area looking for their loved ones, who

did not appear at home at the scheduled time

and used that metro line.

Haydé Magalán is another of the people who on Tuesday morning

was visiting hospitals

trying to get news of her missing husband.

Thanks to a call she received from an unknown woman, she knows that her husband was transferred from the scene of the accident.

"We didn't know anything about him, until a lady or young lady called me and told me that she had taken my husband's cell phone and that of other people to tell their relatives that they were in the damaged cars. She told me that they had taken it away. from the scene of the accident, "he explained.

everything was knocked down

. It was horrible because people were crying, screaming for help, we saw others who ran out of the windows, no one understood what was happening," said Maribel , a woman who runs a food stall very close to the accident.

"It was something I had never seen in my life, everything was very, very fast," added the woman.

Solidarity did not cease to be present in this tragedy.

Many of the people who were close to the accident helped the injured regardless of the danger that there was when the train was hanging.
