In the past few weeks, SC Forst has played six test matches in preparation for the new season in the regional league.

The results were not great, but the coach of the "Nature Boyz" is confident about the season.

Forst - SC Forst has played six test matches in recent weeks in preparation for the new season in the regional league. “They didn't necessarily go well,” sums up coach Armin Dallmayr, who looks after the “Nature Boyz” together with Martin Kirschner. There was only one win (2-1 against EV Bad Wörishofen). Despite good performance in training, SC Forst has not yet brought any potential onto the ice. “The power and talent are there in the team,” says Dallmayr, convinced of his team. It has to prove itself on Friday (8 p.m.) in the Peißenberg ice rink at the start of the season. The opponent is the neighbor of the ERC Lechbruck.

The foresters received reinforcements from Schongau and Peißenberg during the summer (we reported).

“We are well positioned, even a little better than last season,” says Dallmayr, referring to the newcomers.

They include the experienced strikers Marco Mooslechner (Peißenberg) and Sebastian Schattmaier (EA Schongau).

Otherwise, he can rely on a well-rehearsed troop, which has their central figures in the defense with captain Manfred Guggemos, Tobias Zimmert and Michael Fichtl.

At the front, Bastian Grundner, Simon Fend and Manuel Weninger, among others, will be responsible for the goals.

With Andreas Scholz, Markus Kieslich and Daniel Hilgner, the Forster have three equal goalies in the can.

"The one who is in the best mood will play," Dallmayr does not have a designated number one.

Every game is important, emphasizes coach Dallmayr

As for a possible placement, he is confident: “In terms of play, we can keep up in the league.” In the ten-team field of Landesliga Group 2, he sees only one clear field at ESV Burgau, which is coached by his predecessor Stefan Roth Favorites. “Otherwise everyone is at a similar level,” Dallmayr expects a hot fight for four places in the promotion round. The SC Forst wants to have a say there this year. The relegation round, in which the "Nature Boyz" have mostly found themselves in recent years, should be avoided. After the points scored in the preliminary round against the competitors are taken away in the second phase of the season, "every game is important," explains Dallmayr.

The "Nature Boyz" starts with two games on one weekend.

After the derby against the ERC Lechbruck - the "Flößer" (who were promoted in the season that was canceled due to Corona) have given relegation as the season goal - it is on Sunday (5.30 p.m.) at home against SG Schliersee / Miesbach 1b.

“We can win both games, but we can also lose both,” says Dallmayr.

In the Peißenberger Eisstadion there is a mask requirement, the minimum distance must be observed.
