- How did you come up with the desire to write about ageing?

As part of my activities for the self-proclaimed National Council on Old Age - created in 2021 to make the voices of the elderly heard and to demand the establishment, in France, of a real public policy on old age - I had the opportunity to meet many elderly people in the countryside, to question them about their aspirations.

In Western countries, our life expectancy has almost doubled during the 20th century and yet we rarely wonder about the quality of life in old age, about the way it is experienced.

This period of life is often reduced to a medical subject, to care in nursing homes… Aging is something that is not thought about and that is why this subject interested me.

I wanted to question the often simplistic vision that we have of old age,
