THE TALK DECIDERS - Quentin Périnel receives a personality from the economic world over a coffee. Julien Chaudeurge, co-founder of Babyzen, is the guest of the Talk Décideurs du Figaro.

In the 70s, the essential stroller was a MacLaren model, what is called a "cane" folding which still exists today, but which has become "vintage". Collection strollers, if you like. Julien Chaudeurge, co-founder of Babyzen, wandered the streets in this cult model "with white and blue stripes" when he was a child. Over forty years later, he himself invented and designed the star stroller - especially in urban areas - for the past ten years: the YOYO. It is also the only model and its equipment that Babyzen offers for sale. "It is a product that makes life a lot easier, very light, easily foldable and can be carried on the shoulder," explains Julien Chaudeurge. This simple gesture did not exist before. ”

It took five years to patent, design, and finalize the YOYO. This stroller is not a Franco-French model: France only represents 15% of the world market. The model is exported very well in major capitals. Before founding his company, Julien Chaudeurge spent twelve years working in the automotive sector, notably at Fiat ... The transition was not trivial. "At the time, we were working a lot on the Fiat 500, in which we surely could not fit a stroller," he recalls. The automotive sector has inspired me a lot. ” From one coach to another, there is only one step.
