At about 9 am today (21st), a female worker was hit by a waterwheel at a construction site at 1-9 East Road, Cheung Sha Wan. She was seriously injured in the head and confirmed her death on the spot. The police are investigating the cause of the accident. According to the on-site news, the woman victim was a car wash cleaner. The location of the incident was the site maintenance area. She was smashed over the head by the waterwheel and died.
The Labour Department said that it is investigating a fatal work accident in Chek Lap Kok today (November 21) in which a worker was killed. The Labour Department immediately dispatched staff to the scene after receiving the report and is now investigating the cause of the accident.
